Why We Love This Product
Carved on both sides from a large, previously unloved French dictionary, this one-of-a-kind artwork gives an old book a striking new form. Its illustrations and the book’s individual signs of age and wear are part of the piece’s character.
The leather was treated and conditioned before the book was carved. Reclaimed glass on both sides helps protect the artwork from dust, and a bookmark explaining how the carving was created is included.
- Measures 32cm tall and weighs 4.2kg.
- Can be displayed freestanding on a shelf. Position it in front of a mirror to see both carved sides.
- Each book is unique; this bespoke artwork will not be recreated.
Please note books cannot be opened and are not suitable for children to play with.
