This rounded mortar and pestle set is made by hand from a single piece of Mediterranean olive wood, with individual grain patterns that make each one distinctive. Its broad, stable mortar and long pestle are suited to crushing spices, herbs, garlic and other ingredients.
Choose from four sizes: 8, 10, 13 or 16 cm. The 8 and 10 cm sizes suit salt and pepper at the table; the 13 cm is a handy choice for everyday garlic and herbs, while the 16 cm offers more room for larger batches and pastes.
Olive wood is dense and hard-wearing, and the set is finished with food-safe oil. With use, it can take on the aromatic oils of spices.
Care
- Hand wash only; do not soak or put in the dishwasher.
