Shillingham Vineyard is a family-run vineyard on the banks of the River Lynher near Saltash in Cornwall. Planted in 2021 on a former sheep farm, it is run by three siblings who grow and make estate wines from their own vines, with every grape coming from their Cornish land.
Alex, Harry and Flora Ramsden traded 400 years of family sheep farming for viticulture, planting 70,000 vines across south-facing, shillet-rich slopes above the River Lynher in 2021. Alex tends the vines and makes the wine; Harry and Flora run the vineyard.
Everything is estate-grown and made on site. In their words, "every grape in our wines comes directly from our land, nothing brought in, nothing blended away." The maritime Cornish microclimate and cover-crop soil care shape a small range of English still wines from these inaugural vintages.

Why Found in Britain selected Shillingham Vineyard
Found in Britain chose Shillingham for genuinely estate-grown English wine with a clear sense of place. These are early releases from a young Cornish vineyard, made entirely from the family's own grapes. They are an honest, small-batch English choice for customers who want to drink local and follow a new vineyard from its first vintages. The current range centres on easy-drinking still wines, including a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a strawberry-and-rhubarb-scented Rosé.
