Becky Bettesworth is a South Devon artist known for contemporary interpretations of 1930s railway posters. Her colour-led artwork turns coastlines, landmarks and familiar destinations, especially across Devon and Cornwall, into nostalgic images connected with holidays, memory and place.
Becky trained in graphic design at Bath Art College and worked as an art director in London before moving to Devon to pursue her art. In 2013, an invitation to exhibit at the National Trust's Greenway gallery prompted her first Greenway travel-poster designs and established the style for which she became known.
She later applied the same visual language to five Penguin covers for H. E. Bates's Larkin novels and special-edition Agatha Christie covers. Her wider practice has expanded into original resin and acrylic work, creative workshops and school art projects, while the Found in Britain range focuses on location-led and quote-led prints.
