Gift Card Terms
Last updated: 17 July 2026
These terms apply to Found in Britain digital gift cards issued by The Collectives Group Limited, company number 17005145.
1. Buying and receiving a gift card
Gift cards are denominated in pounds sterling and delivered electronically to the email address supplied. The purchaser is responsible for checking the recipient's email address.
A gift card becomes usable after payment has been accepted and the card has been issued. It is not a credit, charge or debit card.
2. Redemption
Gift cards may be redeemed against eligible purchases made through the Found in Britain online checkout. They may be used towards product prices and any eligible delivery charges shown at checkout.
If the order total is less than the available balance, the remaining balance stays on the card. If the order total is higher, the balance may be combined with another payment method accepted at checkout.
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, used to obtain cash, or resold commercially without our permission. No cash change is given.
3. Expiry and fees
Any expiry date will be displayed clearly before purchase and in the gift-card information supplied to the recipient. If no expiry date is displayed, the gift card remains valid until its balance has been used.
We do not charge an inactivity or maintenance fee.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights. A consumer purchasing a gift card online may contact us within the applicable cancellation period. The available refund will depend on whether any part of the gift card has already been redeemed and on the requirements of consumer law.
Refunds for goods bought with a gift card are handled under our Returns and Refunds Policy. Where appropriate, the refunded amount will be returned to the gift card or issued using another lawful method agreed with you.
The purchase of a gift card is not itself refundable merely because the recipient does not want it after the statutory cancellation period has ended.
5. Lost, stolen or misdirected cards
Treat a gift-card code like cash. Do not publish or share it except with the intended recipient.
If a card is lost, stolen, sent to the wrong address or used without permission, contact us promptly. We may replace or suspend the remaining balance where we can verify the purchaser, card and unused balance. We cannot guarantee recovery of value already redeemed by someone who obtained the code without our fault.
6. Fraud and misuse
We may refuse, suspend or cancel a gift card where we reasonably suspect fraud, unlawful activity, a payment reversal or material breach of these terms. We will not remove value arbitrarily, and this section does not affect statutory rights.
7. Promotions
A promotional gift card or bonus credit may have additional conditions, including a stated expiry date or product restriction. Those conditions will be displayed when the promotion is offered. Paid gift-card value will not be reduced by undisclosed promotional conditions.
8. Changes
The terms presented when a gift card is purchased apply to that card. We may update these terms for future purchases, but will not retrospectively remove paid value or impose an undisclosed expiry date.
9. Contact and governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain applicable mandatory protections.
